There are, I believe, several levels of beauty in the world. The beauties of the Doubs are not revealed at first glance, but are found in deeper layers. Only time spent there makes it possible to reach this intimacy. One of my good friends has made sublime photographs there, but he traveled its paths in every weather for years. I had had difficulties trying to grasp this cryptic beauty which did not correspond to stereotypical ideals engraved in my mind. But on a return to those places after some years of absence, it seemed to me that I was more in tune with this landscape. My life path had probably brought me a little closer to it.
